The L Word

I have a sensitive issue to discuss today. My gf and I have been watching the 5th season of the L Word. I love watching this show. I really want Bette and Tina to hook it up again but I can't stand Bette's cheating ways. It's a good things she's hot. It's a good thing they're all hot because the show is LLLLLLAME. I know that makes me very unpopular with my lesbo friends but, please. The writing is horrible and do they really need to tackle EVERY social issue? Is Tasha's post traumatic stress disorder going to drive her to drink, abuse Alice and eventually shoot herself?! Like I said before, I'm a fan. Mostly because it's the only show on TV that has lesbians in it. That's another thing--I am in Santa Monica quite a bit--it's all men. West Hollywood--all men. Sometimes the cheesey lines and predictable scenes makes me think this was made for men. It's so porno-esque. I realize we should be thankful that we have anything at all to watch that depicts lesbian life and culture (maybe our fantasy lesbian life) but should we have to settle for low-brow?
In other news...I saw Shane (don't know her name) at a Kristin Hersh show and all I could think was "I saw your boobs." She looked exactly the same. She even does her hair the same way--I wonder if it has the same affect in real life. I think one of my friends peed a little when she saw her so I suppose it does.

I really think The L Word is ONE OF THE WORST SHOWS ON TV. The writing is pathetic and the "plots" are laughably bad. Jenny supposedly dies during the upcoming finale season. Hopefully that will happen in the 1st episode, because I can't stand her.
